Bank helps police catch theft suspect
Police arrested a 28-year-old Pearl City woman who allegedly tried to cash a check on a closed account at a bank at the Pearlridge Shopping Center Thursday.
Police said bank officials told the suspect that they would hold the check and call her when the check cleared. Instead, they called police. When bank officials called the suspect and she returned to the bank, police were waiting and arrested her for second-degree attempted theft.
