Fire investigators have not been able to pinpoint the exact cause of a fire to an Ewa By Gentry townhouse Sunday.

Investigators could not trace the source of the ignition of the 12:14 a.m. fire that caused about $300,000 in damage to the two-story Makalea Loop house, its contents and three cars in the garage.

A photovotaic energy system and an electric car charger were dismissed as possible sources, Seelig said, although the actual origin of the fire was not determined.

The fire began in the enclosed garage and spread to two bedrooms located directly above the garage, Main said.
