Surfer speared in face by another board off Nanakuli
A 30-year-old surfer went to the hospital Wednesday after he was speared in the face by the tip of another surfboard off Nanakuli.
The man was hit in the right eye and apparently had a broken nose, according to dispatch reports. The man couldn’t open his eye, but was able to paddle back to shore, the reports said.
Paramedics met the man at Kahe Point Beach Park and took him to the hospital in serious condition, an Emergency Medical Services spokesman said.
