Firefighters aid watercraft rider off Kaena Point
Firefighters rescued a man on a personal water craft on Wednesday after his motor malfunctioned off shore of Kaena Point.
The man was drifting and called for help about 5:30 p.m., said Honolulu fire Capt. Terry Seelig.
Firefighters used a boat to reach the man, who was about a quarter-mile from the shore, and towed him back to Waianae Small Boat Harbor by 6:30 p.m.
