Police arrested a 23-year-old man this morning in Waikiki after he allegedly tried to stab another man during an argument, police said.

The man, of a Waikiki address, swung a knife at a 22-year-old man during an argument at about 3:30 a.m., police said. The victim sustained a "scratch" and was not seriously hurt. The two men did not know each other.

Officers arrested the suspect at Helumoa Road and Lewers Street for investigation of second-degree attempted murder and terroristic threatening.
