A 59-year-old Honolulu man was airlifted from Kauai to Oahu after he was found unresponsive while body boarding, Kauai officials said.
The man was body surfing at Shipwreck Beach in Poipu about 6 p.m. Tuesday. Bystanders noticed he was unconscious after catching a wave and brought him back to shore, then began giving him cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
