Tour helicopter makes precautionary landing in Hilo
A Blue Hawaiian Helicopters aircraft made a precautionary landing Monday afternoon at the Hilo dragstrip in Panaewa.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said the pilot made a precautionary landing, not a hard landing, at 2:25 p.m. at the dragstrip two miles south of Hilo Airport. The pilot took the precaution because of a reported electrical problem, Gregor said.
None of the six people on the helicopter was injured.
