Student helps teacher recover iPad stolen from Kaneohe classroom
A 62-year-old teacher who had his iPad stolen from his classroom last week in Kaneohe had it returned on Saturday when a student made arrangements to buy the iPad from the suspected thief, police said.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of second-degree possession of stolen property.
The teacher had his iPad stolen from his unidentified school on Tuesday, police said.
A student heard that the 17-year-old boy was selling the stolen iPad and made arrangements to meet with him Saturday, when the boy was arrested, police said.
