Hawaiian Airlines leads nation in on-time flights
Hawaiian Airlines led the nation’s airline industry in on-time flight performance in August.
The U.S. Department of Transportation said Thursday that Hawaiian flights were on time about 94.8 percent of the time. Alaska Airlines was second with on-time arrival rate of 90.8.
The department’s monthly report looks at the performance of 16 airlines. It said the nation’s airlines did a better job at getting passengers to their destinations on time in August compared with July, but did worse than in August of 2010.
JetBlue was the least punctual airline this August, with an arrival rate of 61.6 percent.
