A 79-year-old mo-ped driver has died of injuries suffered in a crash Aug. 18, police said Wednesday.

The man, identified as Chow Mow, was driving a 2006 Triton mo-ped when it crashed while he was turning at the intersection of Houghtailing and Olomea streets at 9:13 a.m., police said. An autopsy has been scheduled for today.

Mow was originally listed in serious condition but his status changed to fair en route to the Queen’s Medical Center, police said. Police said they were notified Wednesday that he had died.

It was the 37th traffic fatality on Oahu this year, compared with 38 at this time last year.
