Police investigating skeletal remains in Palolo Valley
Honolulu police homicide detectives are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains by hikers in Palolo Valley Monday afternoon.
The bones were found in an isolated area in the back of the valley.
State Department of Land and Natural Resources officials have been asked to help determine the age of the remains.
Police learned of the find about 4:30 p.m. Monday. Police classified the case as an unattended death.
