Two men arrested in American Samoa on Honolulu-based drug charges
PAGO PAGO, American Samoa >> Two brothers wanted on a federal warrant out of Honolulu have been arrested in American Samoa.
A law enforcement official in Pago Pago says Kaisa Tai and Louis Tai were taken back to Honolulu onboard a military aircraft Wednesday after they were arrested at home in the village of Pavaiai.
They are among eight defendants named in an indictment handed down by a federal grand jury last week.
According to the indictment, they were part of a methamphetamine ring dating to 2008.
The other defendants are Fouina Toilolo, Aloalii Tootoo, Jordan Fonoti, Pulaa Gatloai, Harry Akana and Daniel Fola.
