A 42-year-old Waipahu man and his 14-year-old son allegedly attacked a 57-year-old man who was dating the man’s estranged wife who is also the boy’s mother.

Police said the incident happened at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday in Pearl City. The suspects went to the victim’s house and called for the woman to come out, police said. The victim went outside and told the suspects to leave, when he was allegedly attacked with a piece of wood used as a club.

The 57-year-old man was treated and released from a local hospital.

Police arrested the suspects at 8 p.m. on Kaahumanu Street for second-degree assault.
