Police arrest couple who allegedly fell asleep in stolen car
Honolulu police arrested a man and woman who fell asleep in an allegedly stolen vehicle in a condo parking lot in Waikele.
Police were called to the Lumikala Street parking lot at about 8:45 a.m. Sunday and determined the vehicle had been stolen.
During a search of the suspects, police say they found a switchblade knife, drugs and drug paraphernalia on a 27-year-old Ewa Beach man. Officers arrested him for possession of a prohibited switchblade knife, drug and car theft charges. The 22-year-old Makiki woman with him was arrested for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
