Bills trickle out of conference committee
House and Senate negotiators meeting in conference committees are agreeing on a few bills that will now get final floor votes.
Conference committees approved several measures Wednesday as the Legislature rushes to finish work on bills by next Friday, when they all must be ready for votes before the Legislature adjourns May 5.
One bill clarifies wording of alcohol concentration limits for drivers of commercial vehicles, which are set at 0.04 percent.
Another measure requires reports from the Department of Public Safety to be filed with the governor and Legislature within 24 hours of any inmate or correctional facility employee death.
Other bills heading toward approval deal with water cargo transportation hearing requirements and rules for real estate brokers preparing broker price options.
