‘Iolani Fair ‘Pa‘ina’ brings student stars

“Pa‘ina in Paradise” is this year’s theme for the annual ‘Iolani Fair, which will be held Friday and next Saturday on the school’s grounds from noon to 10:30 p.m. Festivities include food booths, cooking demonstrations, games, rides, a silent auction, a general store and live entertainment.

Free movies will be screened on the football field at 7:15 p.m. “Despicable Me” will be featured Friday night, and “Iron Man 2” will show next Saturday.

Among the entertainers are Hoku Zuttermeister, John Cruz and Pali. The fair wraps up with the “Reach for the Stars Talent Show” featuring students in grades 8 to 12 at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Parking and trolley service will be available at Kaimuki High School.

New Kids’ Club offers free crafts

Barnes & Noble has introduced a Kids’ Club that includes rewards and special offers for families.

Members receive free crafts, cupcakes on your child’s birthday and loyalty rewards of a $5 credit for every $100 spent in the children’s department.

Join the club by signing up at local stores or visiting bn.com. The free program is open to children age 12 and under.

Easter Bunny to make visit at Dave and Buster’s

The Easter Bunny is hopping in for a special visit at Dave and Buster’s at Ward Entertainment Center for breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. April 23.

Enjoy a breakfast buffet and an Easter egg hunt, along with airbrush face painting, balloon art and a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.

Customers are asked to bring a canned or nonperishable food item to support the Hawaii Food Bank in exchange for a gift from Dave and Buster’s.

The cost of the Easter breakfast is $16.99 per person (tax and gratuity included), though photo packages with the bunny are sold separately. For tickets, call 589-2215 for or email hawaii_rep@daveandbusters.com.
