Kapahulu Avenue reopens after water main fix
A key section of Kapahulu Avenue in Waikiki reopened at 2:15 p.m., Honolulu Board of Water Supply officials said.
BWS crews repaired a 24-inch water main near 296 Kapahulu Ave. this morning, but a contractor still needed to repave the road between Ala Wai Boulevard and Kuhio Avenue this afternoon, the agency said.
The water main broke early Thursday morning and the road had been shut down since then.
