Mo-ped rider critically hurt in crash
A mo-ped driver was critically injured last night in a crash in Kahuku that appears to be alcohol related, police said.
The 24-year-old Hauula man was traveling Haleiwa-bound on Kamehameha Highway near Puuluana Street about 10:30 p.m. when he veered onto the right shoulder and crashed.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said. He was not wearing a helmet.
