Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz are scheduled to attend a town hall meeting at Pearl Ridge Elementary School Cafeteria tonight.

State senators and representatives from the Aiea and Pearl City areas are also scheduled to attend. The event, from 7:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. on, will be held at the Pearl Ridge Elementary School Cafeteria. 

Organizers said residents will hear presentations by elected officials followed by questions from the public.

"We hope many people will attend as nothing is more important than direct communications between the people and their elected representatives, especially in challenging times such as these," said state Sen. Donna Mercado Kim, who organized the program.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early at Pearl Ridge Elementary so they will have time to park, organizers said.
