1 of 2 suspects arrested in Kaimuki armed robbery case
Honolulu police say they have arrested one of two men who tried to rob the Kaimuki Video store on Waialae Avenue at gunpoint on Feb. 4.
Police arrested a 30-year-old Waipahu man at the main police station yesterday afternoon on suspicion of first degree robbery.
They are still looking for a second suspect, a man in his 20s.
Police say the pair entered the store at about 10:30 a.m. and demanded money from a 39-year-old woman working at the counter.
One of the men allegedly pointed a handgun at the woman.
But the men fled empty-handed in a waiting vehicle after an alarm sounded, police said.
