Waipahu man charged with attempted murder in Big Island stabbing
A 40-year-old Waipahu man was charged yesterday with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of another man on the Big Island.
Anthony Kali was charged with second-degree attempted murder, abuse of a family or household member and first-degree assault. His bail was set at $56,000.
Patrol officers responded to a call at 7:39 p.m. Sunday and found a 19-year-old man with stab wounds to his arm and stomach on Plumeria Street in Mountain View, police said.
Detectives determined that Kali and the victim were in an altercation that became violent inside the Plumeria Street home.
