The Honolulu Medical Examiner identified the boy killed in Saturday’s Kunia Road crash as Samson Sese of Kaneohe.

Sese was a passenger in a speeding 2007 Mitsubishi sedan that hit an oncoming 1992 Mercury sedan on Kunia Road Saturday night, setting off a chain-reaction accident involving five vehicles.

Also killed in the accident was Jennifer Parsons, 42, of Waianae, who was driving the Mercury.

Parsons died of "multiple internal injuries," according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Sese, who was ejected from the Mitsubishi, died from head injuries caused by the accident, according to an autopsy report.

Sese’s age, previously reported by authorities as either 11 or 12, is still being confirmed, the Medical Examiner said.

Friends remembered Parsons, the bakery manager at the Foodland in Ewa Beach, as "a really good friend, a sister, a mom — a person who everyone could depend on."

Marsha Nunes, who preceded Parsons as bakery manager said she was the "backbone" of the department.

Parsons was the mother of three children.

Six other people were injured in the crash. Three other teenage boys in the Mitsubishi — ages 19, 17, and 14 — were taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition.

The 21-year-old man driving the Mitsubishi, a 32-year-old woman driving a silver 2006 Lexus, and the 26-year-old driver of a silver 2010 Nissan pickup truck also went to the hospital in serious condition.

Four people in a fifth car — a 48-year-old Wahiawa man and four female passengers, ages 29, 4, and three months — were not injured. That car, a gray 1994 Nissan sedan, was behind the Mercury. It veered into an embankment after the first crash and was struck by debris, police said.

Honolulu police Sgt. Alan Vegas, said the Mitsubishi and Lexus were "driving erratically and at a high rate of speed" toward Wahiawa when the Mitsubishi crossed into the opposite lane and struck Parsons’ Mercury sedan at an angle.

The Lexus also struck the Mercury, veered right, lost control and spun into the Waipahu-bound lanes where it collided with the 2010 Nissan pickup truck.

The crash happened at 6:55 p.m. Saturday night just south of Kunia Drive.
