Cosmetic surgery patient allegedly writes bogus check, arrested during follow-up exam
A 39-year-old man who allegedly paid for his cosmetic surgery with a counterfeit check returned for a follow-up examination yesterday and was arrested for investigation of second-degree forgery and second-degree theft, police said.
The nature of the man’s surgery and the cost were not disclosed.
The man allegedly wrote the bogus check on Nov. 23 and returned to the Honolulu business for a follow-up examination at 11 a.m. Saturday, when he was arrested, police said.
