No. 5 Hawaii sweeps Utah State in volleyball
Kanani Danielson put down 12 kills and Chanteal Satele added 10 kills to lead No. 5 Hawaii to a 25-18, 25-22, 25-16 win in a Western Athletic Conference volleyball match tonight in Logan, Utah.
Elizabeth Ka’aihue had 22 of the 52 digs by the Rainbow Wahine (19-1, 9-0 WAC). Hawaii has not dropped a set in WAC play this season.
Liz McArthur and Shantell Durant both had seven kills for the Aggies (15-7, 3-6).
The nationally televised match pitted two of the top blocking teams in the country. Hawaii (No. 12 in blocks), finished with 13, with Brittany Hewitt in on eight and Satele six.
Utah State (No. 16 in blocks) had 9 1/2 with Katie Astie in on five.
Ka’aihue had three of Hawaii’s six aces.

The Wahine will host Boise State Friday and New Mexico State Sunday.
