Man charged with sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl in Waimanalo
A 21-year-old man was charged yesterday with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Waimanalo.
Tasi Eddie Tao, of Bell Street in Waimanalo, was charged at 5:15 p.m. with two counts of third-degree sexual assault. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
Police said the girl reported Tao sexually assaulted her about 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 9. Officers arrested Tao at 8:35 a.m. today at the main station.
