UH’s Danielson named WAC volleyball player of week
Hawaii junior outside hitter Kanani Danielson was named the Western Athletic Conference player of the week in volleyball today, her second weekly award this season and eighth of her career.
Danielson led the No. 4 Rainbow Wahine to sweeps over San Jose State and Fresno State, with 15 kills and four blocks against the Spartans and notching her seventh double-double of the season against the Bulldogs with 13 kills and 12 digs.
Hawaii (16-1, 6-0 WAC) takes its 11-match winning streak on the road with matches at Idaho Thursday, Boise State Saturday and Utah State next Monday.
