Hilton says parties will go on as planned
If you are celebrating a wedding or birthday at the Hilton Hawaiian Village this weekend, the hotel says not to worry. The parties will go on.
A couple of weddings and a military ball are just some of the events that fill the Hilton’s schedule this weekend, but none of these will have to be canceled.
Despite the five-day strike by union workers at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, the hotel will be able to accommodate these events.
Management and other nonunion workers from the resort and other Hilton properties and temporary hires will fill in for the usual staff to work the banquets, said Cynthia Rankin, spokeswoman for the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
And the really important question: Will the Friday fireworks show go ahead as planned?
Rankin said not to worry. There will be fireworks.
