2010 Ironman winner to appear on Wheaties box
MINNEAPOLIS — The winner of the 2010 Ironman World Championship will join Olympians, team sports stars and other champions by appearing on the front a Wheaties box.
Minneapolis-based General Mills announced Sunday that Australia’s Chris McCormack will be featured on the famous orange box within a few months.
The company says it’s the first time an Ironman champion has been honored with a Wheaties box.
McCormack won the Ironman the second time in four years on Saturday in Hawaii, finishing the 140.6-mile triathlon in 8 hours, 10 minutes, 37 seconds.
Wheaties Fuel cereal is an official sponsor of the event.
