H-1 Freeway lanes near Waikele off-ramp re-opened after traffic accident
All town-bound lanes of the H-1 Freeway just past the Waikele off-ramp in Waipahu are open again after firefighters freed a man trapped in an overturned vehicle.
The man in his 40s was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to a trauma center in serious condition, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Department of Emergency Services.
Police closed the left and middle lanes of the freeway at 12:06 p.m. and re-opened them at 12:33 p.m.
