Police caught a 17-year-old boy allegedly breaking into a Kalihi business yesterday morning in only his underwear.

Officers responded to an alarm about 3:45 a.m. and found the boy covered in black dust, hiding behind a stack of boxes, police said. He was holding a set of keys he allegedly stole from an office.

Employees found his clothes on the roof, near an air vent he apparently used to enter the building, police said.

The boy was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and later released to appear in court.
