Abercrombie riding school bus across Big Island
Neil Abercrombie is riding on a yellow school bus across the Big Island this week to promote his campaign for governor.
The Democratic former congressman says he wants to meet with residents, including seniors, teachers, farmers, hotel workers and small business operators to learn what their priorities are.
Abercrombie is running against Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann for the Democratic nomination for governor.
The school bus tour begins in Hilo on Thursday. It will then travel up the Hamakua Coast to Waimea before heading south to Puna and Kau.
Abercrombie’s trip concludes Sunday.
