A Hauula resident who returned home to find someone walking away with his belongings was threatened with a “dangerous instrument,” police said.

Police said the 37-year-old man saw a 26-year-old man carrying property from the victim’s home at about 1:50 p.m. yesterday. The victim followed the 26-year-old man to the suspect’s residence and confronted him and was threatened with an unidentified “dangerous instrument,” police said.

Police were called and the suspect was located and arrested, but the property was not recovered.
