Undecided. What are the concerns/negatives letting passengers cell over wifi inflight?
Yeah, there are a lot of variables!
You just have to look at what happened to other public transportation models. Some have created areas where you meander to to make calls cause other passengers don’t want to listen to it. Can’t really “meander” to the back of the plane like you can a subway or bus.
This’ll help you get the picture…

i don’t wanna hear someone’s conversation..let me sleep in peace
Diarrhea-of-the mouth fools with their senseless blabbing would be a worse nuisance if they could make calls.
Have to listen to loud mouthed hicks who purposely broadcast their personal conversations at everyone’s expense. Who cares about their personal business??? Then there are the droners who just sound like bees buzzing and saying nothing. All the care about is hearing themselves blaring away. How did I vote?
Allow voice calls on expensive seats, business class…I don’t mind that, since I’m economy.
It would cause more problems with disturbing the peace. Too many people would be chatting away and the plane would get to loud. So a compromise would be to let texting be allowed.
Yes please let the texting begin; NO TALKING!
With Wi-Fi, people can text already.
I would allow cell phone calls anytime something happens during the flight to change the landing location and time. As in twice while flying to the mainland there was a medical emergency, we returned to Honolulu. In cases like this, inflight calls would be turned on to allow passengers to advise their contacts of what is going on.
Rest of the time inflight calls turned off. Texting would always be turned on.
Next to cellphones, is heavy handed perfume/cologne smells, I cannot stand it. Why do people drown themselves in it.
Beats bathing
People have no consideration for people around them. It will get too noisy. Let them use the wifi to email or to use text messaging.
No, no, no!!! Phones will cause rage on the already crowded airplanes. Imagine sitting next to someone talking next to you for 10 hours on a crowded flight. No phones on airplanes.
Yup. And you just know some self important D- Bag is going to do just that…
What’s the difference between someone talking to the purson next to them and talking on a phone… other than you can only hear one side of the conversation? Is that’s what really bugging you?
You don’t get it. The “purson next to them” usually stops it and does not answer.
EVERYONE should just shut up and read. Problem solved.
Text YES
Talk NO
Ok, with the key-click sound off.
I don’t care, my teacher always told me I get deaf ear anyway!
No, in-flight passengers are annoying enough as it is. They should also not be allowed to play games that make noises.
I don’t understand what the problem is. For a long time one could make a phone call using the phone provided on the seat in front of you. Never used it as it seems like it would cost an arm and a leg. But as long as a person is reasonable about it, there shouldn’t be a problem.
I dont want to listen to anyone yapping on the phone during flight.
For safety and for plain common sense – No. Using cellphone, Ipad or your personal computer and using
There a glich and could not finish my reply… Of course not in using your cellphone during an airplane flight. It would interrupt pilot communicating with the other airport. This is why you have on your device “airplane.” For just safety and common sense, no I would not use my cellphone in flight.
