Middle Eastern eatery expanding in Honolulu
The Moroccan and Lebanese restaurant known as Kan Zaman, or “once upon a time,” in Arabic, will expand to Kaimuki.
Restaurant partners and chef-owners Kamal Jemmari and Youssef Dakroub will open on the second floor of 1127 11th Avenue, above Ichiriki Japanese Nabe Restaurant, which also will be setting up operations in the building.
Kan Zaman’s first location has been operating at 1028 Nuuanu Ave. since 2013.
Like the flagship restaurant, the new Kan Zaman will serve traditional dishes such as falafel, and specialties including badinjan mahchi.

Their food is excellent. Wonder if the belly dancers will perform?
Must be anti Trump owners.
But only he can afford to go there. Their prices are pretty high.
Entrees under $20, byob, no value menu though.
