STARADVERTISER / DECEMBER 31, 1971
The galley in the Falls of Clyde, the maritime museum docked at Pier 5, was restored to its original condition
of 1879, when the 266-foot vessel began its long career as a cargo and passenger carrier. The completion
of the kitchen marks the midway point of the ship’s refurbishing, expected to take another two to
three years. Capt. Kleinschmidt, skipper-historian, checks out the oven.
