Kudos to Honolulu Hale for rolling forward with ambitious plans to reshape the city’s TheBus fleet to zero-emission vehicles by 2035. Last week, Mayor Kirk Caldwell showed off the first of 17 electric buses expected to be shipped here over the next year. The new fume-free and relatively quiet 38-seat ride will soon be deployed on routes based at the Kalihi-Palama Bus Facility.
