Reed, a junior, started seven of the Rainbow Warriors’ eight regular-season games and ranks second on the team with 346 rushing yards on 82 carries. He also caught 16 passes for 123 yards.
“I am forever grateful to the University of Hawaii for giving me the opportunity to play collegiate ball &represent them on and off the field,” Reed said in a social media post. “I would like to thank the University of Hawaii coaching staff for believing in me &allowing me to lead this team as a captain &to the teammates I call my brothers, thank you for the incredible memories and bonds we established that no one can take away. … No matter where I end up, I will always live aloha and play warrior.”
Reed ran for a season high 109 yards on 21 carries in UH’s season-opening win at Fresno State.
He scored his lone touchdown of the season against Nevada and shared playing time in the backfield with freshman Dae Dae Hunter.
Reed started nine games in 2019 and led the Warriors with 908 yards and eight rushing touchdowns.
