Drive-thru has enabled a whole new world of living, forced by social distancing due to the pandemic.
Now comes the latest, seasonal application: A U.S. Postal Service drop-off tent, for customers to hand off their prepaid, ready-to-mail packages to a postal worker, instead of having to stand in line. These savvy mailers would have already paid for and printed out their postage using the web site, USPS.com.
The drop-off tent is at the main post office near the airport, noon to 8 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 21, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the next two Saturdays.
Also over the next two Saturdays: A prepaid package drop-off tent will go up at the Waipahu Post Office, 1 to 4 p.m.
