Shark warning signs posted at Haleiwa Beach Park
Shark warning signs have been posted at Haleiwa Beach Park, according to a 2:45 p.m. alert today.
Honolulu Ocean Safety said a tiger shark measuring about 8 feet long was seen exhibiting aggressive behavior about 50 yards offshore at 2:30 p.m. today.
In addition to the shark warning signs, jet ski patrols are being made, along with public announcements, to warn the public of the shark’s presence.
Ocean Safety officials will reassess the situation in two hours.
