Finally, after eight months of closure, Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve has reopened to the public — but it will be a quieter, gentler experience. The site will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays; and entry will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with all visitors leaving by 4 p.m. Only 720 people will be admitted daily, 30 max at a time.

Luckily for Hawaii residents and kids 12 and under, entry remains free; for nonresidents, it’s $12 for entry and $3 for parking.
