Hawaii island police arrested Saesha Shante Tiarelynn Pua-Olena Marie Paz, 30, and Rory Robert Neville, 30, for an alleged crime spree on Nov. 27.

Prosecutors charged a Hilo couple in connection with a crime spree of burglaries at homes and businesses on Hawaii island.

Saesha Shante Tiarelynn Pua-Olena Marie Paz, 30, was charged with four counts of habitual property crime, three counts of burglary of a building during an emergency period, four counts of theft, one count of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and burglary of a dwelling during an emergency period. Her bail is set at $45,500.

Rory Robert Neville, 30, was also charged with burglary of a dwelling and building during an emergency period, theft, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, promotion of a dangerous drug, drug paraphernalia and criminal trespassing. His bail is set at $24,250.

Police said the charges stem from multiple burglaries in Hilo from Thursday morning through the early morning hours Friday.

South Hilo patrol officers responded to a report of a burglary of a commercial building and an auto theft in Kaumana. Police then responded to burglaries at a residence and a business establishment in Waiakea.

During the course of a police investigation, another burglary at a business occurred.

According to police, Paz and Neville were identified as the burglary suspects. Officers arrested Paz in Kaumana Friday and Neville in downtown Hilo.

The couple faces enhanced penalties because the burglaries occurred during the COVID-19 emergency.
