Buying trees from Richard Tajiri’s Christmas Hawaii has been a local tradition since 1976. Tajiri died in January at age 78, and now his wife, Paula, and daughter Ami are running the show. The family will host a celebration of life for Tajiri from 3 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 13 at their location at 1110 University Ave.
