At a friend’s recommendation, Renette and Norman Nakasone of Wahiawa, above, snapped this selfie while visiting the 808 Poke Bowls restaurant in Onna, Okinawa, Japan, in October 2019. Renette wrote: “Their poke was so ono and fresh, (it) reminded us of poke in Hawaii.”
