3 Hawaii Costco employees contract coronavirus
Three Costco workers have tested positive for the coronavirus — two in Hawaii Kai and one in Iwilei.
The Costco Iwilei employee who contracted COVID-19 last worked on July 23 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m, a warehouse manager confirmed to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Another employee at the Hawaii Kai warehouse last worked on July 15. The company recently found out about a second infected Hawaii Kai worker, according to a second warehouse manager who was not authorized to speak to the media.
“We’re working closely with the Health Department, which is satisfied with the measures we’re taking to prevent the further spread of it,” he said. “We’re getting everything sanitized and they’re pretty satisfied with our mask policy and barrier policy.”
