>> Doug Chin, in response to critical emails, said Tuesday that he is “in a very different place than I was 25 years ago” when he made remarks some perceive as an anti-gay rant found in a recording circulating on the internet. He was misquoted in a story on Page B1 about his nomination to the police commission.

>>The Hawaii primary election is Aug. 8. The date was inaccurate in a story about the ILWU endorsement of Colleen Hanabusa for Honolulu mayor.
