Charla Baker, 11, charmed the judges with a rendition of the “stork,” one of six required tricks competitiors
performed at the state finals of the National Hula Hoop contest at the Kalakaua Recreational Center.
Charla outclassed 20 contestants, scoring 104 of a possible 120 points performing the knee knocker,
stork, upsy-daisy, alley-oop, wrap the mummy and hula hop.
