Man who died after being pulled from ocean in Nanakuli identified
A 48-year-old man who died Saturday after being pulled from the ocean in Nanakuli was identified today as Amden Moses of Waianae, the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office said.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of his death.
Police said Moses died at a hospital Saturday after a friend pulled him to shore about noon.
A spokeswoman for the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said Moses and another man were believed to be diving in the area of Tracks Beach when Moses was found unresponsive in the water.
Beachgoers began CPR after Moses was brought to shore, followed by responding city lifeguards and firefighters.
EMS took over treatment and took Moses to a hospital in critical condition. The man who was with Moses was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.
