Honolulu closed all city parks including Ala Moana Regional Park on Thursday. People were still using the park and beach even though the access road into the park was closed. Some vehicles just drove around it to enter the park.

A sightseer took in the view at Lanai lookout at east Oahu on Thursday. The lookout had been closed and cordoned off with caution tape earlier in the day only to be ripped open as visitors drove into the parking lot.
