COMMUNITY MEETINGS
>> The Council Planning and Sustainable Land Use Committee convenes at 9 a.m. Wednesday to consider a proposed bill that allows a grace period on conditional use permits for B&Bs, short-term rentals and special uses while an extension request is being processed, and a proposed bill to suspend or prohibit processing of land use applications for lots subject to pending enforcement actions by the Planning Department.
>> The Public Works Commission meets at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Kalana Pakui conference room to consider a proposal to prohibit heavy vehicles on Maui Lani Parkway between Kamehameha Avenue and Paa Street in Wailuku, and proposed changes to the subdivision code relating to public review of subdivisions within agricultural zoning districts.
>> Councilwoman Alice Lee holds a community meeting 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Puu Kukui Elementary School cafeteria in Wailuku to discuss proposed tax reform measures that would change real property tax classifications and set new tiered rates.
