The U.S. House of Representatives has two roles: making laws and scrutinizing the work of the government. I am tired of looking in the paper each week to see how our representatives have voted, only to see blanks by U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s name (“How your lawmakers voted,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 4).
For most people, they would not only be fired, but the company would expect some sort of compensation for time not worked. I would think the only decent thing to do would be for Gabbard to give back the majority of the salary paid out for the time not representing her constituents in the House.
